USE OF COURTS
All courts are available for play and both singles and doubles may be played. Where doubles are played players may come from 4 different households but must at all times maintain the social distancing required by Government and LTA guidelines (2m at the time of writing) unless they come from the same household. While restrictions on the number of people who may meet (currently a limit of 6) mixing between courts where doubles are being played should not take place. Larger numbers are now permitted for junior coaching as per the LTA guidance which our registered coaches will follow.
All courts used must be booked. Bookings are to be made with Kate Stock.
Anyone coming to the club should undertake a pre attendance self-assessment for covid 19 and you should not attend if you or any of your household has any symptoms or if you have been in contact with a person who is covid positive and has been told to isolate regardless of whether you have symptoms. A record is kept for 21 days of all those who visit the club through court booking by Kate Stock and coaching by Edd Whetton and James Partridge.
Access is via a coded gate as usual, courts 1&2 accessed by the main gate and courts 3&4 by the side gate.
Coaching is provided on 1:1 and group sessions and our Club coaches Edd and James at all times follow LTA and Government guidelines.
All players and coaches irrespective of whether they are playing singles, doubles or having coaching must undertake social distancing (currently 2m) unless they are from the same household. All players should familiarise themselves with LTA advice re balls and equipment (see links below and poster at the club).Although players may wish to each have their own tennis balls,
LTA advice issued at the end of May suggests that balls may be shared provided players sanitise their hands before/after play and do not touch their faces. Please do not chase balls down on to other courts.
Please only bring onto court what you need and take everything with you when you leave.
Players and coaches should finish 5 minutes before the end of the session to enable socially distanced exit/entrance.
Although hand sanitiser is being provided, it is recommended that players bring their own alcohol gel.
A first aid kit is provided for emergency use at the entrance to the clubhouse.
People should wait for the court to clear in the car park.
Spectators are discouraged and if present should wait in their car or remain 2m distances from anyone else.
From Saturday 5th September the men’s toilet will operate as a unisex toilet which we ask should be used only when absolutely necessary. A walkway has been created to the toilet and the lounge area, changing rooms, shower and kitchen are closed and must not be used. Please do not take anything into the clubhouse. The clubhouse will be kept locked at all times and only one person will be allowed in at any one time other than juniors who must be accompanied by parent/guardian.
Hand wash, sanitiser and anti bac wipes are provided and the member/parent/coach are responsible for ensuring that touchpoints are decontaminated after use.
Please also ensure that the clubhouse is locked after use.

This requires all those attending the club to ensure they check they have no symptoms before attending. We hope you would have been doing that anyway! It also requires the club to ensure that they know who has attended the club for the purpose of facilitating Test and Trace. We will use court and coaching bookings schedules to enable this.
It may facilitate our response if people can let us know if they have attended the club and have a positive test. If you do please inform both:
